Project Details
The telemetry system is an LTE-connected data-collection module that records data from multiple sensors on each of the three manned Supermileage efficiency vehicles, logs the data, and uploads it to the cloud. The data gets processed and stored on Google Cloud and can be accessed using a customizable Grafana dashboard. With it, has been a custom electrical board, which includes a cloud-integrated Particle Boron and an antenna. This project allows for a multitude of vehicle data to be collected during runs, ensuring key components are well-monitored and issues can be addressed as promptly as possible. Such information is displayed in a neat graphical interface seconds after the instance. Some interesting data that we collect include exact GPS location, velocity and acceleration, elevation and vehicle orientation, temperatures and battery information, fuel-cell and engine ECU data, and precise steering inputs.
